The Buttery at the Crypt
Dating from the late 12th century, this incredibly historic building, in a unique setting next to Chichester Cathedral, is situated only a few shops down from the famous 'Clock Tower' in the very centre of Chichester. It has been fully restored by the Cathedral Landlords and is described as 'a fine specimen of very ancient architecture, well deserving the notice and inspection of the antiquarian'. As with all our Butterys, it is well known for serving delicious breakfasts, lunches, homemade cakes, cream teas and a host of other tasty dishes.
